Our school
From a small beginning in 1971 to a specialist school community in Pretoria.
New Hope began with 33 learners, 14 staff members and two housemothers at the former St Peter’s Hostel in Murray Street, Brooklyn. In 1979, a purpose-built school was completed on the present site. The name came from the homestead on the farm: New Hope.
Over time, the school expanded its education, therapy and residential support. Today its programmes extend from early childhood through Grade 12, with additional technical occupational and life-skills routes for learners whose strengths are better served outside a conventional academic pathway.
