A first orientation to the learner profiles and support needs considered for placement.
New Hope serves learners whose educational support needs may relate to cerebral palsy, physical disabilities, traumatic head injuries, specific learning disabilities and related conditions. A diagnosis alone does not determine placement.
The district and multidisciplinary team consider the learner’s current functioning, learning history, support already provided, required accommodations and which school setting can best meet those needs.
